This middle aged couple living in the city collaborated with grado to create an ideal retreat in Qiandao Lake to have a break from the hustle and bustle of urban life.
In grado HOME, we irregularly scheduled share home design projects from users around the world. In this issue, we present a vacation villa project owned by a middle-aged couple living in the city. The couple envisioned a space that was perfect for entertaining and quiet getaways.
They explained “ Most of our lives were living in the city, and we felt we needed to balance it. So it was really important for us to have that open feeling of fresh air and light coming inside the home.”
This 9700-square-foot villa features large glass picture windows, seamlessly blending the natural scenery with the interior to create a relaxed atmosphere.
Light is seen as one of the most effective elements to work with when designing intentional spaces, profoundly affecting body and mind.
Living Room – Let the Sunlight In
Large glass windows in the living room maximize the influx of natural light, making the entire space brighter without the need for addition wall art.The play of light is the art. The warm-toned, low-saturation 9-Layer Sofa harmonizes perfectly with the room’s color scheme, and also provides a spacious seating area, helping users create a more comfy and cozy environment.
