Make a Statement about One’s Inner Self

Over thousands of years in China, when there were no lamps, ancient Chinese people used copper mirrors to concentrate the scattering candlelight, making it a lamp. grado designer Vilia grabbed her inspiration here and then translated this old tradition into a modern, stylish candle holder.

Full Moon Candle Holder

The pair of plates gather candlelight in between, triggering an imagined scene of a Full Moon radiating warm light at night. Instead of its traditional connections with insomnia or a werewolf story, Vilia has her new understanding of the Full Moon.

Instead of its traditional connections with insomnia or a werewolf story, Vilia has her new understanding of the Full Moon. With this new creative candle holder, she calls its users to gather their light of time and energy scattering to all directions and hold it in their inside world. This sincere calling is about concentrating on the inside, and consequently making one’s inner self as bright and complete as a Full Moon.

“In a tranquil night lonely candlelight rises straight; Over a Full Moon Candle Holder, scattering light is called back. Looking up, I saw the full moon complete and bright; Bowing down, in romanticism I’m drowned.”
