CONCEPT
The design inspiration of the Fika series comes from the Nordic “Fika”, which means to relax, drink coffee, eat dessert, and chat. This is the happy time that people enjoy at work and in life, alone or with colleagues, friends, and social objects. The designer hopes that you can also “Fika” on the Fika series furniture.
The Fika Bench, continuing the Fika series’ modern design language, is crafted to create a cozy spot for relaxation at any time. The cool gleam of stainless steel paired with the warm feel of leather brings together a futuristic and natural harmony, embodying the essence of modern Bauhaus design.
Sisi Hong
Sisi Hong is an internationally trained industrial designer who graduated with the MID major from the Pratt Institute in New York. She has a passion for unusual and playful ideas, as well as grotesque yet reasonable ones. Sisi cares about tangible products close enough to people’s daily lives and strives to use her expertise as a designer to create better products for a better life.
Her odyssey from a rural area to an urban environment and then to the U.S. has endowed her design with a richer touch and elasticity.
