CONCEPT
The Mermaid series draws inspiration from the elegance and mystery of the mermaid’s half-hidden, half-exposed tail in fairy tales, connecting fantasy with reality. The designer incorporates wide fishtail elements into the backrests of lounge chair and sofa, using bold styling to create works full of aesthetic tension.
Handmade ceases on the backrest mimic the texture of a fishtail, exuding a natural and agile feel. The inward-curving fishtail, combined with the overall rounded shape and wool-like upholstery, gives the series a cute and approachable appearance, inviting you to sit back and relax.
The designer intends for users to experience the freedom of a mermaid in the deep sea and to let go of their psychological defenses, allowing their fragile backs to rest against the embrace of the fishtail backrest, promoting relaxation of the body and mind.
